How to install TeamSpeak 3 server | Linux

In this tutorial i gonna show you how to install your own Teamspeak 3 server. All what you need is VPS or Dedicated server with Linux OS. I recommend DigitalOcean VPS server. Ts3server should run well on many distros as long as the minimum requirements are met. Recommended Distros: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS or greater, Debian 6 or greater, CentOS 6 or greater – in my case CentOS 7.2 x64 from DigitalOcean.

Configure Server

1. Update server:

yum -y update

2. Install EPEL Repository for CentOS 7.X:

## RHEL/CentOS 7 64-Bit ##
wget https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm
sudo rpm -Uvh epel-release-latest-7*.rpm

3. Verify EPEL Repo:

yum repolist

4. Instal 32-bit libraries:

yum install glibc.i686 libstdc++ libstdc++.i686

5. Install all the dependencies required to run ts3server:

yum install mailx postfix curl file wget bzip2 gzip unzip python

Install TeamSpeak 3 server

6. Create new user:

adduser ts3server

7. Set password for your new created user:

passwd ts3server

8. When it’s done, login as your new created user:

su - ts3server

9. Download the script:

wget https://gameservermanagers.com/dl/ts3server

10. Make it executable:

chmod +x ts3server

11. Run the installer and follow the instructions:

./ts3server install

./ts3server start

./ts3server stop
# Restart server:
